As employers, we need to give as much as we get.
I’ve always been a big believer that the best employers are the ones who treat their staff like family, and the best employees are the ones who are so engaged in the company vision that they treat the business like their own, more so since we’ve been helping our customers build offshore teams.
So when we bring new people into our business, we make sure we give as much of ourselves as we can as early as possible, to help our new staff understand who we are and allow them to be a part of our journey. As part of our induction, we give every team member a copy of Simon Sinek’s ‘Start With Why’.
As we explain to our staff, Start With Why has been an important book to us because it’s helped us understand who we are and what we do. It’s been instrumental in helping us understand what’s truly important to us, and how we can help our customers and staff alike. We hope that the books helps them on their person journey as well.
The biggest bit of advice I can give anyone looking to build stronger relationships with their new staff is take the first step and give as much as you get. By doing this, you’ll be giving your people the opportunity to truly be part of your journey.
